Counseling is a journey towards integration. I'm here to help you overcome anxiety or depression, traumas of any kind, or if you are simply looking for someone to listen to you and provide a non-judgmental and accepting place for you to process life's experiences. I profoundly believe that you do not enter therapy "broken" or that clients need to be "fixed". By learning self-compassion and acceptance, most of our struggles can be understood as manifestations or behaviors that follow from wounds or traumas. The journey is about healing and transformation, rather than getting over something. I have completed Level 1 training for IFS.
I work with adolescents, teens, and children as young as four. I use child-centered play therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, and other techniques according to the unique goals of my clients. I believe that each client already has interior resources that the art of counseling brings out and makes more permanent, leading to integration and wholeness.
Whether you have tried counseling before or are looking for a therapist for the first time, contact me for a telephone discussion about your unique situation. In the journey of life, we all need advocates and supporters. I am here to help and would be honored to share your journey with you.

Micole’s approach to therapy is marked by warmth, curiosity, and compassion. Micole operates from the belief that therapy is about helping the client discover and live from their authentic self. The healing process is collaborative, focused on the client’s growth in self-knowledge and removing blocks to living from that authentic self. Micole’s hope for clients is that their work together leads to greater freedom, particularly from anxiety and self-criticism, greater clarity in life purpose, and more connected relationships.
Currently, Micole is a counseling intern, completing her degree at Colorado Christian University. Her work at The Healing Center is supervised by Vincent Terreri, LPC. Micole’s previous work experience includes many caregiving and helping professional roles, working with a variety of ages from young children through the elderly. Most impactful was three years as a missionary with FOCUS, where she discovered a particular love for walking one-on-one with others and a sensitivity to the interplay between mental health and the spiritual life. A theme throughout her work experiences has been the guiding belief that every person is inherently good, worthy of love, and called to flourish in life.
Micole particularly enjoys working with women 18-35 navigating anxiety, family of origin issues, life transitions, people-pleasing, self-criticism, perfectionism, and struggles with self-worth. Her work with adult clients is rooted in a very holistic, relational-based perspective. She typically uses Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and insight-oriented approaches. She is happy to integrate a Catholic or more general Christian approach, having been trained in both, as clients desire.
Micole has openings for child clients, ages 3-8, dealing with anxiety, anger, grief, and attachment concerns. In working with children, Micole uses child-centered play therapy, which recognizes that play is the work of children and the most natural way for them to process. Children’s therapy is particularly collaborative with parents, recognizing the importance of their role as primary caregivers, equipping them to support their children’s growth long-term.
